SAGE3D - THE REPORT The Sage3D output report is delivered in the form of a PowerPoint presentation. The report begins with some basic facts about the analysis (time frame of the data, number of customers, number of transactions) and then includes a snapshot of the customer metrics calculated in the Sage3D analysis:
Following the snapshot metrics, the Sage3D report includes a summary grid of the behavior based segments identified in the analysis. These segments are typically a function of relationship tenure and transactions in a given period (typically per year). The specific ranges that define the transaction levels will vary based upon your business. In some businesses there is a third dimension of the segmentation that may include things such as the purchase channel (for multi-channel marketers).
Following the summary grid of the Sage3D segmentation, the report will provide a detailed analysis of each of the individual segments:
Following the individual segment metrics, the Sage3D report shows segment migration for each of the layers of the transaction based dimension (sampler, occasional, gold, platinum). The segment migration module of Sage3D looks at all customers and computes their segment in one year, then compares that to where the same customer is the following year. This observation of past behavior serves as a good starting point for understanding future behavior. It also creates a clear framework for developing communication programs to modify behavior:
Following the segment migration portion of the report, Sage3D clearly identifies and quantifies the retention opportunity. Few analytic products or services provide such a crisp, clear quantification of lost business - creating a clear set of priorities for testing communication to determine where modifications to behavior may be successful:
